Michael Mazour and family

A personal blog for friends and family. Originally intended to be Michael's random thoughts, etc., it's morphed into Kristiana's blog as much as mine, and is mostly new-baby stuff and vacations these days.

    Profile

I'm a Silicon Valley software guy. Most recently CTO of MarketMonitors, Inc., I've also worked at Apple (OpenDoc), Sun (Java enterprise stuff) and a bunch of startups that went the way of most things. Oh, I also consulted for the Postal Service for a few years, which sounds desperately uncool and mostly was, but it did sharpen my skills to work with $100M/day cash flows, deadlines literally set by an act of Congress, and a work environment that was very different from what we normally see in Silicon Valley.

I'm a new dad and when not busy with that I'm working on some private projects, particularly using Hierarchical Temporal Memory as published by Numenta.com.

My wife Kristiana also contributes to this blog. Since (at this writing) Blogger's mail-in interface doesn't distinguish between us, you'll still see my name on the posts. But you can recognize her by her signature, her "Sent from my iPhone" tag, or failing that, by her references to me in the third person.
